Above, is our
QSL card showing the Great Laxey
Wheel built in built in 1854 to pump water from the workings of the Great Laxey Mining Company. The wheel was then
named Lady Isabella" in honour of the Governor's wife of that period.
This great work of engineering can still be seen working today and acts as a
monument to the mining history of the Isle of Man. GD7JWR & MD3MXU (xyl) are located just beyond the tree line above the wheel.
